Terms & Conditions
- Your booking will be secured on receipt of a deposit, which must be received within 7 days. Until we receive your deposit along with the signed contract, the booking will be classed as provisional. If the booking deposit is not received within 7 days, we may change our work schedule without prior notice. Once the deposit & contract is received, the booking will then become legally binding for both parties.
- Payment can either be made in full prior to the event, or upon arrival at the very latest. Under no circumstances will the entertainment start until full payment has been received.
- Rob Lees ensures that he has Public Liability Insurance, his equipment is PAT tested and is CRB checked at the time of engagement.
- The client is to provide a suitable performing area. Unless otherwise agreed, the client must provide an electrical supply meeting or exceeding British Standards where electrical equipment is to be used as part of the performance, and ensure that the supply will not carry any malfunction or damage the equipment. The client should supply two 13 amp 240 volt sockets on a minimum 16 amp supply at the working position.
- The client may request an extension to the agreed playing time at Rob’s discretion in accordance with the following: Agreement is sought by the client, from the owner/manager of the venue. The overtime fee must be paid before the contracted finish time.
- Rob Lees has a Zero tolerance on violent, abusive or aggressive behavior, the client is responsible for the conduct of their guests. If at any time during the event, Rob feels that his equipment or person to be under threat, either verbally or physically, he has the right to terminate the contract without notice, and no refund will be made to the client in these circumstances. The Client is responsible for the safety and security at the venue and shall evict any persons causing nuisance to Rob Lees or Rob Lees' Assistant.
- In the event of any damage or loss of equipment or material provided by Rob Lees for the purpose of performance by persons on the premises, the Client shall be liable to pay In Full the repair or replacement costs of equipment and the hire of necessary Equipment or material during replacement time and to compensate any loss of work due to the damaged/lost equipment. Failure to pay these costs will result with further action taken.
- In the unlikely event that our equipment should totally fail (excluding circumstances beyond our control i.e. a power cut) a pro rata refund will be given for the time remaining. Back up equipment is always carried.
- If the booking is cancelled by the client, the deposit paid is not refundable. Bookings cancelled within 14 days of the function must be in writing, and will be subject to the balance being paid in full to Rob Lees.
- It is responsibility of the client to inform of any restrictions, i.e. Noise Limiters, Time Restrictions & Smoke Detectors etc. Before booking a package that includes dry ice or smoke machines, it is the client’s responsibility to check if there are any restrictions with the venue.
- The sound and lighting equipment is not available for use by any other entertainers or guests at any time during or following the function and microphones are not handed out for post party sing-a-longs.
- We shall be entitled to terminate this contract without liability if for any reason beyond its control that Rob Lees is unable to perform, due to fire or theft of equipment, illness or breakdown of vehicle. Rob Lees will use all reasonable endeavors to locate a replacement Disc Jockey, but, in the unlikely event of a non performance all monies paid will be refunded, but this will be the limit of our liability to you. Should Rob Lees be unable to supply any substitute then Rob Lees shall become liable to compensate the Client for loss of revenue up to an amount not exceeding the contracted booking fee.
- The hirer is to provide parking for one vehicle, as near to the performance area as possible.
- Rob Lees & his assistant will conduct themselves in a proper manner throughout their attendance at the venue, and will respond the Management's requests as to volume, sitting of equipment and, or any other reasonable requests.
- We reserve the right to use any photography taken during the Hire Period for promotional purposes unless otherwise advised by the Customer.
